CLUB: Volkssport Club of West Point

WELCOME: This event is a non-competitive walk sponsored by the Volkssport Club of West Point and the Sarah Wells Girl Scout Council. It is open to everyone and is free if you do not want IVV credit. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

AWARD: The A award is the Girl Scout/AVA "Walk-Together" patch for 2006/2007.

FEES:
For Girl Scouts:

• Fee for IVV credit and the A Award is $6. This also includes a certificate of participation and refreshments.
• For Girl Scouts who wish to participate withour recieving IVV credit or the patch, the fee is $2. This includes a certificate of participation and refreshments.

For Non-Girl Scouts:

• A Award/w IVV Credit $6.00
• IVV credit $3.00
• Refreshments / Donation to the Girl Scounts $2.00

TRAIL HIGHLIGHTS: The trail is on sidewalks through the historic town of Goshen, NY. There will be both 5 KM and 10 KM trails available.

TRAIL RATING: 1 - Easy walk on pavement or a well-maintained trail. Usually suitable for wheelchairs and strollers.

START POINT LOCATION & HOURS: Goshen First Presbyterian Church, 33 Park Place, Goshen, New York 10924. Start times: between 1:00 PM and 2:30 PM, finish by 5 PM.

PRE-REGISTRATION: Girl Scouts may pre-register through the Sarah Wells Girl Scout council. There is no pre-registration for non-Girl Scouts.

WATER & RESTROOMS: Water and Restrooms are available at the Start Point.

DIRECTIONS:
From NY State Thruway I-87 from the North:

• Take New York State Rte 17 to Goshen, exit 124.
• Follow Rte 207 into the center of town.
• ***At the light, the Berkshire Bank will be on your right.
• Make a right onto South Church Street. The First Presbyterian Church will be on your left--the church with the tall steeple and the clock tower.
• Make a left at the monument on your left. Make another left into the parking lot of the church.
• Entrance to the program will be at the double set of doors on the Park Place side.

From the South:

• Exit 16 (Harriman) to Routh 17 West. Take Route 17 West to Exit 124 to Route 207 to Goshen. Follow directions from (***) above.

From I-84

• Exit 4E to Route 17 East. Take Route 17 East to exit 124 to Route 207 to Goshen. Follow Directions from (***) above.

PARKING: Church parking lot

Refreshments: This walk is cosponsored with the Sarah Wells Girl Scout Council. The Girl Scouts will be selling soup for a donation of $2.

PETS: Dogs are welcome, except inside buildings, but must be on a leash of 6' or less. Cleanup after your dog is mandatory.

CONDITIONS: This event will be held regardless of weather conditions.
