Description: A choice of 2 - 10K walks (one event stamp).  One walk starts at the registration point and is mostly rural on paved roads leading to the last concrete "Rainbow" bridge standing on Route 66.  You must drive to Baxter Springs for the start of the second walk.  Baxter Springs' cow town history is highlight of walk passing railroad loading area, Spring River, and Native American site.  Both walks are rated 1 and are not possible for wheelchairs and strollers.  Dogs must be leashed and will not be allowed in the businesses.

Registration: Registration is Eisler Bros. Old Riverton Store, Historic Route 66, Riverton, KS.  Credit Only.  Fees are $3.00 for IVV credit or free for those not desiring credit.  Start time is between 7:30 AM - 8:00 PM, Monday - Saturday and noon to 7:00 PM on Sun.  Must be finished by dusk.  Closed Thanksgiving, Christmas, and family emergencies.  Call ahead at 620-848-3330.

Directions to Registration/Start Point:
From I-44
, take Exit #1 on Hwy 166 west/400 west.  At stop sign, continue north on Hwy 26 to Galena (6.3 miles).  At Galena (stoplight), turn left (west) on Route 66 and continue on 66 to Riverton.
