AVA Sanction: YR514 (Open January 1 - December 31, 2010)

Description: Choice of a 5K or 10K walk that includes Harry S. Truman's birthplace, residential areas, and Lamar Lake.  Trail is rated 1 and it is possible (with assistance on curbs and uneven sidewalks) for wheelchairs and strollers.  Dogs must be leashed and will not be allowed in businesses.

Registration: Registration is at the Super 8 Motel, 45 S.E. 1st Lane, Lamar, MO (417-682-6888).  Open 365 days/year, 24 hours/day.  After registering, drive to Harry Truman's birthplace.  Credit Only.  Fees are $3.00 for IVV credit or free for those not desiring credit. Start time anytime from 6 AM to dusk.

From US 71, exit onto US 160 going east.  Super 8 Motel is on your left.
