AVA Sanction: YR1002 (Open January 1 - December 31, 2010)

Description: A choice of 2 - 10K walks (one event stamp).  One 10K is mostly residential areas with restored Victorian homes and some downtown streets.  The other includes a Civil War Battlefield.  Both trails are rated 1 and it is possible ( with assistance on curbs and uneven sidewalks) for wheelchairs and strollers.  Dogs must be leashed and will not be allowed in businesses.

Registration: Fire Station, 401 W. Chestnut (Corner Garrison & Chestnut).  Credit Only.  Fees are $3.00 for IVV credit or free for those not desiring credit.  Start time is daily after 6:30 AM and walk must be completed before dusk.

Directions to Registration/Start Point:
From I-44, take US 71 north to Hwy 96 exit.  Turn right onto Hwy 96 to Garrison.  Turn right onto Garrison to Chestnut.  Fire Station is on the northwest corner.

From US 71 from the north, exit on Hwy 96.  Turn left onto Hwy 96 and proceed as above.
