Special Programs: Cemetery Stroll

AVA Sanction: Y0644  (Open January 1 - December 31, 2010)

Description: The new 10k trail goes north on the Greenway trail and through beautiful Southern Hills residential area.  Some slight hills on this trail.  5k trail follows Galloway Creek Greenway trail south and qualifies for Cemetery Stroll.  Trail is rated 2 and will be difficult for strollers. No wheelchairs or no dogs.

Registration: Registration is at Signal Convenience Store, 2810 E. Battlefield, Springfield, MO.  Fees are $3.00 for IVV credit or free for those not desiring credit. Walk is dawn to dusk.

Directions to Registration/Start Point:
From I-44, exit 82A, south on Hwy 65, 6.3 miles to Battlefield Road.  Turn right (west) on Battlefield at the light at the end of the ramp.  At light, after railroad track, left on Lone Pine Road and immediate left into parking for "Half-a-Hill" Center where Signal Store is located.  After registering, drive to walk start point at Sequiota ("many springs") Park for this new Springfield walk.
