Our next official National Executive Council XVII Meeting will be held on the 18 and 19 January 2013 in the San Antonio, TX area.
Club Websites that are hosted on the
AVA
Server
Holly Pelking, IT Committee Chair, announced in February, changes that will be forthcoming if you are an AVA Club that has a website hosted on the AVA Server. If you are currently using the AVA Server, you are paid up till May 2012, and AVA will continue to keep the hosting alive for an additional 4 months for free. This means you actually have until the end of September 2012 before your Club Website is removed from the AVA Server.
AVA Convention News
The 18th AVA Biennial Convention in Orlando, Florida is less than 12 months away, April 29 - May 3. Overall dates including all convention volkssport events are April 27 - May 5, 2013. The hotel, Orlando Airport Marriott, will begin taking room reservations June 1, 2012. REGISTRATION: Call 1-800-380-6751 and ask for the AVA room block to take advantage of the reduced room rates. Or click on the link below that will take you to the hotel homepage. An AVA room reservation form has been included with the AVA group designator already entered in the appropriate field. There are many volunteer positions available for the 18th AVA Biennial Convention.
Volunteers need not presently be in Florida, but will be at the convention and would be available to help out.
