LAST MINUTE ITEMS, DAY OF EVENT AND POST EVENT CHECKLISTS

Last Minute Items

1. 3 days prior - If no event stamp, call AVA (210) 659-2112.

2. 7 - 2 days prior - Check work roster - remind workers

3. 1 day prior - mark trail

Day of Event

1. Arrive at start at least one hour early - trail checkers out 45 minutes to 1 hour prior to start - set up start/finish area and checkpoints if not already done.

2.· Checkpoints - water, candy, stamp, trash bags, cups, dog dish, staff available, etc.

3. Signs to direct traffic to the start/finish.

4. Post work schedule.

5. Start/Finish Location:

6. Sweep the trail - start about I hour after start time ends or last walker has departed.

7. count the start cards by category, count the money, clean up the start/finish area.

Post Event

1. Return the AVA event stamp to AVA.

2. Prepare the After-Action Report and send to AVA (Club has option to enclose payment or allow AVA to bill later.)

3. Incident report (if necessary)

4. Thank you notes (as applicable)

5. Pay the bills

6. Return borrowed equipment.
